Aramis is involved in all areas of public business law and has developed a particular expertise in public procurement (public contracts, concessions, public-private partnerships) and public contracting, which covers:

  • the implementation of in place of complex contractual arrangements, the creation of dedicated structures, contractual audit and risk analysis,
  • operational assistance during the awarding or execution of contracts (preparation and analysis of consultation files, applications or offers, drafting contracts and amendments),
  • legal representation to contest or defend tenders or contracts, the preparation of claims, expertise.

We support, on these issues, major companies or public operators especialy in transport, energy defense, telecom and business events areas.

We also have specific kills in the field of public law applicable in French Polynesia and in international context.

Headed by the ‘very knowledgeable’ Etienne Amblard, Aramis’ two-lawyer team has strong public law contract expertise. Representing public and private sector clients, the practice is advising on major projects in the transport and telecoms sectors. It is notably assisting Tunnel Euralpin Lyon-Turin with the eponymous railway tunnel projects, as well as French Polynesia’s Post and Telecoms Office (OPT) with the awarding of the Manatua project, consisting in the setting up of an international high-capacity submarine cable system in the Pacific. Litigation is also a strong feature of the practice, which is handling several disputes. SNCF Mobilités, the City of Paris and Egis Airport Operation are clients.” (Legal 500 EMEA, 2019).

  • Airport management company : representation in a proceeding against the decision of the French Government (DGAC) to award the Tahiti Faa’a airport concession
  • French energy operator : regular assistance in public procurement law for the award of public insurance contracts
  • Services company : representation in a litigation related to major public industrial services contracts (cleaning, catering) in French prisons
  • Aramis represented Sabena Technics, aviation maintenance company, in the context of a compensation claim related to a public aircraft maintenance contract. On 28 February 2017, the administrative Court of Versailles ordered to provide a compensation of €1.8 million for his financial damage.
