Aramis assists the Renault group in its acquisition of a stake in Verkor, which raises over 100 million euros in a Series B financing round.
A few days after announcing its strategic partnership with the Renault group, the young French industrialist Verkor announced on July 6 that it had raised over 100 million euros. This fund-raising is mainly structured around Renault, which acquires a strategic stake of 25% of the capital, and the Swedish fund EQT Ventures (10.5%).
Groupe IDEC, Schneider Electric, Capgemini, Arkema, Tokai COBEX and the Fonds de Modernisation Ecologique des Transports (FMET) managed by Demeter are also participating in this new round of financing.
This second round of financing, barely a year after the start-up’s creation, will support the company’s expansion, and in particular the roll-out of the Verkor Innovation Centre (VIC), a gigafactory where innovative battery cells and modules will be designed to meet Europe’s carbon neutrality targets.
Aramis is advising Renault on this transaction with Anne-Hélène Le Trocquer, Partner, Aymeric de Mol, Counsel, and Gaëtan Le Page, Associate.
